Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 and Zyuranger
1. Zyuranger footage was used to produce Mighty Morphing Power Rangers season 1.
2. MMPR Season 1 was about a group of teens selected to fight the evil Rita Replusa who escaped from her monster. In Zyuranger five ancient worriers are awakened to fight the evil Bandora, who escaped her prision.
3. The Power Rangers had a mentor named Zordon. The Zyuranger mentor was named Braza. Braza's form made an appearance in MMPR during a flash back to Zordon's younger days.
4. Rita put Tommy under her spedll and made him her evil green Ranger. Braui surfaced in Zyuranger as the rouge Green Ranger who wanted revenge against Geki. Braui was Geki's brother. Geki was stolen by a rival king ( who ended up killing the two Rangers; biological father.) Both Tommy and Bruai join their respective teams.
5. Rita's evil green candle brunt out causing Tommy to lose his powers. He passed them on to JAson. In Zyuranger the Green Candle represented Brauis remain life force. When it brunt out he died. He gave his powers to Geki.
6. The Rangers battled Golder in the Cyclopsis Zord. In Zyuranger ending episodes the Rangers fought Bandora's son (Kou) in a new mecha.
7. Extra Zyuranger action footage was shot solely for American use. This footage has been refered to as Zyu 2 footage.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 2 and Dairanger
1. Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Season 2 continued the adventures of the Power Rangers. As they faced a new threat, Lord Zedd. Dairanger was no continuation of Zyuranger. It told the story of a group of teens using the power of an ancient civilization to fight the evil Gorma. Led by Sadam. Who would make an apearance as Mondo the Magician much later in MMPR season 2
2. The Ranger's DinoZords transformed into the Thunder Zords when the Power Ranegrs summoned them. The Dairanger's zords had no relation to the Zyuranger's zords.
3. MMPR Season 2 used Zyuranger and Zyu 2 footage in addtion to Dairanger footage.
4. Tommy was the Green Ranger in Season 2. The Green Zyuranger did not appear in Dairanger. Tommy became the white Ranger in MMPR. Dairanger's White Ranger was known as the Kibaranger. He was a young boy.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 3 and Alien Rangers and Kukuranger
1. MMPR Season 3 continued the story of the Power Rangers. Kukuranger did not continue Dairanger.
2. The Alien Rangers portrayed n the later part of MMPR season 3 were actually taken from Kukuranger's team. They were not aliens in Kukuranger. They were a team of ninjas.
3. MMPR 3 used Zyu 2 and Dairanger footage as well as Kukuranger.
4. In Kukuranger, the Shogunzords Sentai counter part was actually used before the counterpart of the Ninjazords. In MMPR the Ninjazords were found before the Shogunzords.
5. There was no Pink Ranger in Kukuranger.
6. Master Vile and Rito Revolto both were two of the main villains in Kukuranger.
Power Rangers Zeo and Ohranger
1. Power Rangers Zeo continued where the MMPR Saga left off. It dealt when the former MMPR Rangers become the Zeo Rangers to fight the evil Machine Empire. Ohranger had nothing to do with Kukuranger. It involved a military team that used power from an ancient civilization. They battled a race of machines.
2. The Gold Ranger in Ohranger was not an alien like Trey (gold ranger in power rangers). He was an ancient child like king who ended up helping the Ohranger.
3. In Power Rangers Prince Sprocket and Prince Gasket were two different characters. Their sentai counterparts were actually the same person. Gasket's counterpart was the older version of Sprocket's counterpart.
Power Rangers Turbo and Carranger
1. Power Rangers Turbo was the continuation of the MMPR and Zeo Saga. Carranger had nothing to do with Ohranger or any other Super Sentai.
2. Turbo saw the continued adventures of the former MMPR and Zeo Rangers as they faced Divatox, an evil pirate queen. Carrranger centered on a team of car workers given magical powers by an alien. They fought evil pirates as well.
3. While Turbo is looked on as a more lighthearted and silly PR season, Carranger was actually a great deal more of a comedy than Turbo was.
4. The Phantom Ranger's Sentai Counterpart ( the VR Master) was not really a Ranger. He just gave the Carranger their secret set of mecha. There was no real Sixth Ranger so Turbo used the phantom as a sixth. It is worth mentioning that their was a little girl in Carranger that could become a White Ranger. But she couldn't hold her form for more than a minute. She was more of a joke and not really an actual Ranger.
Power Rangers in Space and Megaranger
1. Power Rangers In Space continued the saga of Power Rangers up to its starting point. Megaranger had nothing to do with any other sentai (excluding team up movies).
2.. Space saw the former Turbo Rangers team up with an Alien named Andros to become Space Rangers. Their mission was to save Zordon from Dark Spector. They fought Astronoma. Megaranger was about a teen who beat a video game that was really a test to find Megarangers. He and his frends would become the Megaranger to fight a evil group of aliens led by an evil scientist.
3. The Silver Ranger in Power Rangers In Space was an old friend of Andros. In Megaranger the Silver Ranger was the user of a prototype suit that didn't function correctly. Later this malfunction and was later fixed.
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Gingaman
1. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy was standalone but did have a few tie ins to earlier seasons. Gingaman was standalone with no tie ins to former sentai besides the team up movies.
2. Lost Galaxy involved a group of young men and women that were able to pull the mythical Quasar Sabers. They had to use their new powers to fight Scorpious and protect the Terra Venture space coloney as it headed to find a new planet to colonize. Gingman was about an ancient tribe that had to fight space pirates. Mythical Swords were given to the chosen ones to chance them into Gingaman.
3. Captain Mutiney from the Lost Galaxy arch in PRLG actually is the main bad guy in Gingaman ( or at least his sentai counterpart is).
4, The Bull Black and Magna Defender Storylines were very similar. The main difference being that Bull Black doesn't lose his powers at the end like Mike does in LG.
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and GoGo V
1, In Go Go V a family of resu\cue workers were recrutied by their long lost father to become a sentai team. It was another car based sentai. Our heroes had to fight an evil family of demons. Footage from Go Go V was used to create Lightspeed Rescue. Lightspeed Rescue had a similar theme to GO GO V but took things in their own diferection ( mainly by droping the family plot between the heroes and the villians).
Power Rangers Time Force and Timeranger
1. Time Force and Timeranger were both standalone seasons, aside with the team ups with both of there fore bearers.
2. Timeranger dealt with Time Cops like Time Force. However in Time force the Captain went back in time with them. This captain turned out to be a fake, a villain in disguise.
3. Gluto's counterpart in the sentai was Don Dunero. He was the main villain of Timeranger, Ransik did not exisit. Nadiera and Frax both had Sentai counterparts. Gluto and Gien (Frax's counterpart) had a rivalry similar to Frax and Ransik.
4. Tasuya was Wes' counterpart. He joined the Timeranger much like Wes did the Rangers in Time Force. Tasuya was the ancestor of the Timeranger captain. Tasuya broke away from his father by winning a bet., while Wes just left on his own. Both had similar issues of making their own destiny.
5. Fatcatfish's counterpart in sentai murdered Yuri's ( Time Pink) family. He was an assassin, hired by Don Dunero to do the job. In Time Force, Fatcatfish was just a monster Jen once arrested with Alex.
6. In Time Force, Eric finds the Quantum Powers to become the Quantum Ranger. They were powers Time Force lost in a time travel experiment. In Time Ranger the Time Fire Powers are created by reverse engineering Time red's powers. This is done by Tasusya's father's company. Time Fire is the Quantum Ranger's counterpart in the Sentai. Naoko is his name. He has the same rivalry with Tasuya that Eric has with Wes.
7, In Timeranger, the real Captain comes back in time to take Tasuya's place, just like Alex does in Time Force. However, The timerangers captain's morpher is taken by force, while Alex gives his up willingly.
8. In Timeranger, the Rangers briefly go back to the future and confront the captain again, like they do Alex. The Time Captain ends up trying to erase their memories to adjust to the altered future. Sion (Trips Counterpart) is forced to kill the captain, in order for his friends to escape.. Alex does not end up being bad and lets the Rangers go back to the past willingly.
9. In Time Ranger the Rangers don't return home after the defeat of the villains (Gien was the main villain by the end with his G Zord, known as Doomtron to PR fans). Instead the Time Range slose their powers, with all of them dispearing due to their future being nonexistant. Only Tasuya was spared ( being from thr past). It should be noted that Naoko died in the final battle, saving Tasuya ( where as Eric was only wounded).
Power Rangers Wild Force and Gaoranger
1. Gaoranger was a standalone season like Wild Force.
2. The Gaoranger's mentor was the granddaughter of the original priestess of Animeria's counterpart. In Wild Force Shayla was actually alive at the time of the first org attack.
3. The Org counterpart's are Aurgs. The Aurgs were created by the evil in man's hearts. There is no Master Aurg. The three Org General's are the three main villains in Gaoranger. They each apear separately and our replaced by each other when they are defeated. In the end the reappear as one ( the Giant monster Master Org turns into in Wild Force).
4. Gaored is not from the jungle and is not looking for his lost parent's ( unlike Cole), he is a veterinarian selected to lead the Gaoranger by the Lion spirit.
5. Merrick's counterpart has the same backstory pretty much. Zen-Aku is called Loki in Sentai. Loki does not separate from Merrick's counterpart. Nayzor's counterpart put on the mask of Loki to become a new Loki.
Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Hurricanrangers
1. The Hurricanrangers and Goraijers don't become friends as fast as the Wind and Thunder Rangers do. The Gaoranger fight with the Jakanja willingly at first. Where as the Thunder Rangers are lied to that their parents were killed by the Wind Ninja's Sentai. The Goraijers go on their own when they realized their new allies aren't honorable. They don't really jion the Hurricanrangers till more towards the end of the show.
2. Lothor does not have a counterpart in Hurricanranger.
3. Cam's counterpart in the Sentai is Obrah, a woman. She is the sensei's daughter like Cam is the son of the Sensei in Ninja Sotrm. Cam becomes the Green Samaria Ranger. Obrah does not.
4. The Green Samuria Ranger's counterpart is a worrier who became stuck in morphed form. He does take several fake civilian forms before his true identiy is known. Played by Former Sentai actors.
Power Rangers DinoThunder and Abaranger
1. Mesogog did not have a counterpart in Abaranger. The main villains were the Evorian. Who came from Dino Earth ( were not the product of experiments).
2. Abablack was a worrier from DinoEarth who journeyed to Earth. His morpher malfunctioned for a time. He had to rely on three worriers on Earth that he recruited. His morpher was soon fixed and he rejoined the fight. In DinoThunder Tommy Oliver returned to mentor the DinoThunder Rangers and eventually became the Black Ranger.
3. In Abaranger they mecha could talk and had personalities, in Dinothunder they were more like organic robots.
4. Abakiller was the White Ranger's counterpart in Abaranger. His identity was nothing like Trent's back story. Abakiller was a doctor who got the Abakiller powers. They drove him mad and he became a new enemy for the Abaranger. Trent accidentally found the white dino gem, which changed his personality and made him evil. When Trent joined Mesogog's forces, this footage was taken from when Abakiller took control of the Evorian for a time. Abakiller became good long after Trent did. Abakiller didn't become good till the end of Abaranger. He ended up dying in battle.
Power Rangers S.P.D. and Dekaranger
1. In Dekaranger, Dekared and Yellow were not thieves and had no prior history together. Dekared was reassigned from a deep space headquarters, to become the new Dekared for the Earth Rangers. The other Dekaranger were already Rangers, the B Squad aspect did not exist.
2. Doggie Kruger ( Commander Cruger's counterpart) had a slightly differenf custom than his American counterpart.
Power Rangers Mystic Force and Magiranger
1. In Magiranger, the five original rangers were brother and sister. In Mystic Force they were not siblings.
2. In Magiranger, the Magirangers are the children of Magi Mother. Magi Mother "dies' in the first episode. She returns in the end. In Mystic Force only Nick is the son of Udonna. While Udonna is the counterpart of Magi Mother, she never gets killed off. She just loses her powers in the initial episodes. She mentor's the team until she gets her powers back towards the end. She isn't revealed to be Nicks Mom until halfway through MF's run.
3. Clair's counterpart in Magiranger is really a goddess that got amnesia. She works in a similar capacity to Clare until this is revealed. In Mystic Force, Clare is the daughter of the Gatekeeper and Udonna's niece. She works as Udonna's apprentice. And briefly becomes the Gatekeeper herself.
4. The Snow Prince's Magiranger counterpart teaches the Magiranger how to use their special armor. In Mystic Force he just debuts to help Daggeron and Nick learn a lesson.
5. Magiyellow is actually a much more serious character then Chip is in Mystic Force.
Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and Boukenger
1. The Boukenger collect ancient artifacts know as Precious. And protect them from various evil factions. The evil factions plot is retained in Overdrive but the quest is for the Jewels of the Corona Aurora. The Precious plot is adapted with most of the artifacts being clues to the Jewels.
2. The Boukenger work for a government organization. The Overdrive Rangers work for Andrew Hartford.
3. The Andrew Hartford and Mack Hartford father/son relationship is not from Boukenger. Also Boukenred is not an andriod like Mack.
4. In OO Mack doesn't wanted to piolet the Drill Driver because he has a confidence problem. Boukenred feels guilt over failing his past team. Which is actually partly adapted with Tyzonn.
5. Tyzonn 's counterpart is not an alien in Boukenger. He is a member of a almost extinct tribe.
6. Moltar and Flurious's Sentai counterparts are not brothers like they are in OO.
Power Rangers Jungle Fury and Gekiranger
1. In Gekiranger, Rio is a former student that starts his own school to take over the world. In Jungle Fury, Jarrod gets expelled from the academy and gets possessed by Dai Shi.
2. Gekiviolet is not the Gekiranger's mentor, he is the brother of Gekiblue. In Jungle Fury Geikiviolet's counterpart is Wolf Ranger. Who is RJ, the Ranger's mentor.
3. In Jungle Fury, Dom was Jarrod's old roomate. In Gekiranger , Rio is old friends with Gekiviolet.
4. In Gekiranger, Bou gets stuck as a fly because of a fly in his technique. Bou's counterpart is Flit in JF. Flit was turned into a fly by Camille.
5. Jungle Karma Pizza is exclusive to Jungle Fury. The Gekiranger work in a sporting goods store.
Power Rangers R.P.M. and Go-onger
